MINDFULNESS PRACTICES FOR CHILDREN

These activities are the fruit of my 15 years of work experience as an ASD specialist. In addition, I combine them with the skills learnt from studying holistic and mindfulness practices from talented teachers in London, Bali, and elsewhere and, finally, the wisdom I’ve gained from my personal healing journey during the last 9 years.

Yoga & Meditation For Children & Children With Learning Disabilities

Many children are experiencing stress and anger issues because of a disconnect between their minds and their bodies. Scientific research confirms how yoga, breathing techniques & Meditation can help children. They are particularly helpful in learning how emotions affect them and how they can express themselves. These activities, especially when presented in a fun way, become an opportunity to relax and encourage the connection between body and mind. Learning how to be present 'in' the moment, thus reducing stress and anxiety while bringing in a wealth of benefits, from better focus, endurance, and self-esteem to improving behaviour and academic performance. Furthermore, it is also an excellent way for children with autism and other disabilities to improve their memory and behavior, socialise with other children, and participate in family activities. Yoga & Meditation can be done in person or remotely on a 1:1 basis or as a group session. Group session prices are available upon request. Cost is based on the needs, cognitive level e the motor abilities of the participants, as well as the chosen activities and hours required by parents. Group sessions can last between 1 and 3 hours. Materials and tools will be provided. Please note this practice can be booked on its own or in combination with Art Therapy.

My Art

Creativity has always been present in my life, but when I was a child, my low self-esteem stood in the way of me unleashing my full potential. I used to compare my work to my older sister's and think I could never create art as good as hers. Despite it, I often sought comfort by painting and drawing when I was ill. Especially during extended hospital stays, creating art has always been soothing. After my last remission, I consciously decided to drop any judgment or labels and express my feelings through art. It was so freeing. If you are interested in purchasing one of my artworks or commissioning a piece, please click here to get in touch.
